If you were a castaway on an Island and got the chance to bring 3 movies to watch...
Which movies would you choose?
Why did they cause such an impression on you?
Here my answers
1- Bambi: When I was a little girl, I cried at Bambi's mom's death for days and, for long, I thought about how animated film-makers could create such horrible movies if they were aimed at kids. Not so soon, but now that I am a grown up woman, I see that Bambi puts on plain screen the injustice we see everyday, everywhere; These things happen no matter what; age, habits, social position, etc. And the beauty of the movie is seen in the fact that the worst thing that can happen to a person (as it happened to bambi) won't ever stop him or her from living an amazing and beatiful life.
2-Brother bear: I still can't believe the fact that the first time I watched it, I had to stop it, because I thought it was boring. I'm sure my sister and I share the same feeling (we were just tired and sleepy).
This movie is amazing for two reasons:
1-. Amazing soundtrack: I love the lyrics to each one of the songs.
2-. Its meaning to me: It taught me that making a mistake doesn't make you a terrible, mean person, that mistakes are allowed, and that you can always fix your problems by accepting, assuming and working on them.
3-.Life of Pi: It portraits life and perspective in the most charming way I've ever seen. How your beliefs and imagination can define the way you experience things, the way you live and the way you tell stories. "Each mind is its own world" was never explained better.
There are no wrong ways of living life, but different realities.
